Raise your hand if you ever read something and then you could not answer a question about what you just read? There are times when I am rushing, and I just read but I don't really know what I just read. This happens because sometimes we just keep reading and we do not stop and think “Did I get what I just read?” Today I want to teach you that when you are reading sometimes you have to read, cover, remember what you read, and then retell without looking at your book. When you are reading it is important to take notes about the topic because then you will really understand and be able to answer questions about the topic. There are 4 steps to follow.
  1. Read!
  2. Cover!
  3. Remember (It is ok to peek but try not to)
  4. Retell!
